Speaker Biography: Dr. Gabriel Almeida Alves is a highly educated and experienced individual in the field of neuroscience. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Brazil and worked as a nurse there where he gained valuable clinical experience. After moving to the USA, he continued his education, earning a Master's degree and a PhD from Western Michigan University. During his time at Western Michigan University, Dr. Almeida Alves conducted extensive research on the effects of aging and sedentary lifestyles on neurotrophic factors such as NGF and GDNF in the heart, leading to new insights on the role of the sensory nervous system and CGRP in heart health.
