Climbing Shells (Sampler Granny Square Blanket Pt. 6)

Here is the sixth video for the Sampler Granny Square Blanket. This blanket will consist of 16 different squares with a minimum of 3 colors. Each square will be a different video so no need to rush. I will also have a video on how to sew the blanket together and put a border around the whole blanket.

Written instructions for the Climbing Shells Square

With your color of choice: Ch. 27 loosely.

Row 1: Double Crochet in fourth ch from hook and in next 3 cans. ** skip next 2 chains, (2dc, ch. 2, 2 dc) in next ch (Shell made), skip next 2 cans, dc in next 5 cans; repeat from ** across: 2 shells.

Row 2: Ch. 3 (counts as first dc), turn; dc in next 4 dc, work Shell in next ch 2 space, skip next 2 dc, dc in next 5 dc, work Shell in next ch. 2 space, dc in next 4 dc, dc in top of beginning ch.

Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures approximately 7 inches; do not finish off.

The Edge Round 1: Ch. 1, turn your work, 3 sc into the corner, 25 sc evenly spaced along the edge; repeat around. To join slip stitch into first beginning chain 1.

Round 2: Ch. 1, sc in same stitch, 3 sc in next stitch. ** sc in next 27 sc, 3sc in next sc; repeat from ** around. To join slip stitch into first sc, finish off.
