Babies are gassy creatures. And it’s normal for them to pass gas up to 20 times a day or more. But unlike adults, they don’t have control of their muscles to bear down like we do when we need to get out a gas bubble. Usually increased tummy time and lots of position changes helps a baby naturally pass gas. But sometimes the gas bubbles can be trapped and baby can be uncomfortable getting that gas out. Parents are often told to do bicycle kicks, but if they are don’t incorrectly, nothing will come out. This video shows how to do those bicycles in a gentle way to relieve the gas. There are also some other strategies for helping stretch out baby's neck and shoulders to help relieve tension in their body.
