Powered by the Apocalypse: My favorite PbtA games and mechanics - Table Talk - Livestream #14

Описание к видео Powered by the Apocalypse: My favorite PbtA games and mechanics - Table Talk - Livestream #14

Today I want to talk about one of my favorite game engines of all time, the Powered by the Apocalypse engine!

Originally released as the indie RPG "Apocalypse World" by D.Vincent Baker the subsequent core ruleset released under a Creative Commons license has gone on to become a darling for indie game designers for the past 15 years!

Recent huge Kickstarters like the Avatar RPG have used the PbtA engine and in 2022 3 of the 5 "Game of the Year" nominees from the ENNIES utilized the PbtA engine!

Let's talk about the games, the mechanics and answer the fundamental Sorenson questions:
1. What is this game trying to do?
2. How does the game do it?
3. If you do it, how does the game reward you?
