In this video, I cover the topic of "squash and stretch" when working with game characters.

Learning about squash and stretch is important even if you don't want any extreme or cartoony character deformation. Only a tiny bit of scale in one bone can leave the entire character looking distorted and skewed. But knowing about these solutions could help you avoid such problems.

Unfortunately, there is no single and straightforward solution for this. There are several different approaches and each has pros and cons.

In this video, I show two methods that you can apply right in Blender. I really like these solutions because they are simple to implement. At the same time, they easily solve most of the issues associated with squash and stretch.
