Baking Lavash in Hatsarat, Armenia.

Find out how Lavash bread is made by our friend Tatev and other women from Hatsarat village. We spent many beautiful days with Tatev and her lovely family.

Lavash is not just bread it's passion and expression of culture in Armenia. Even the bride and groom get it over their shoulders at a wedding ceremony. With most meals it replaces a spoon and a fork. After ten months in Armenia, we cannot imagine a meal without lavash bread!!!

In this video Lavash is baked in traditional tandoor (tonir), thanks to Tatev we had the oppertunity to be there live. We looked at every step from the dough to the finished bread.
