Note on the video: it was made in mid-2014, when the Frozen fever pretty much overtook the entertainment world. I strongly identified with Elsa and her arc in the film, and decided to explore the subjects of despession and insecurity that plagued the character in a fan video form.

STORY: On the night of the big ball, Princess Elsa is on the verge of panic attack. Confined to her room, she can't control an icy outburst. Her secret friend, Pitch, tries to calm her down before the big event.

At the ball, Elsa meets her least favourite people: royal siblings Merida and Hans, who made her childhood a nightmare. She figures that her father the King plans to announce her betrothal to Prince Hans. Elsa spurns Prince Hans's advances, only to be confronted by her father after the ball. Unable to contain her emotional turmoil, Elsa freezes the King to his death.

Merida and Hans catch Elsa at the scene and try to take her out; Pitch appears just in time to snatch the Princess from their grip. Elsa is still unstable at the ice palace far in the mountains. Pitch manages to soothe her in the end, telling her not to be afraid of her powers.

Hans and Merida arrive at the castle, determined to execute Elsa and Pitch, who they believe to be a great threat. Their plan backfires when Elsa and Pitch take them out instead.

Now everyone in the kingdom fear for their lives; and far from making things better for Elsa and Pitch, the ghosts of Merida, Hans and the King start to haunt Elsa. Soon, Pitch and Elsa are quarrelling bitterly, while the Princess's is unhappier by the minute.

In her despair, Elsa destroys the palace and turns Pitch into an ice statue, gaining his powers in the process. Not having anyone to love anymore, and now being haunted by the four ghosts, Elsa freezes the entire hemisphere in a bid to ease her pain.
