Former Labor leader Bill Shorten “let the cat out of the bag” today about when the party will release its policy costings before Anthony Albanese confirmed it, according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

“It would not be the last week of a campaign without controversy over costings,” Mr Clennell said.

“We know Labor are expected to project higher deficits than the very high deficits the Coalition continues to promise.”

Mr Shorten revealed on the Today show that Thursday, May 19, will be the day the Labor Party will release its policy costings, two days before voters head to the polls on Saturday.
