STORYLINE:
The six Mexican tourists wounded in an attack in Egypt arrived back in Mexico on Friday.
The five women and one man were lowered from the presidential airplane on mobile platforms in stretchers and wheelchairs at Mexico City International Airport and later taken to hospitals.
Foreign Relations Secretary Claudia Ruiz Massieu said Mexico has sent a diplomatic note to Egypt demanding it respect the victims' right to compensation.
She added that in the coming days the bodies of the eight killed tourists would be flown back to the country.
The Mexicans tourists died when Egyptian forces hunting militants mistakenly attacked their convoy in the western desert last Sunday.
