The Audi e-tron GT is the German brand’s vision of a rapid, electric saloon car. It shares its underpinnings with the Porsche Taycan and offers strong refinement, blistering acceleration - across both the regular e-tron GT and the faster RS e-tron GT models - and an excellent range of up to 298 miles. Audi designers have given the car a stunning futuristic design and a high-tech interior with recycled materials to make it more sustainable. But can Audi’s first proper electric sports saloon match rivals like the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan for desirability and driving thrills? Richard Ingram puts it to the test to find out.
