Make The Perfect Butter Board In Minutes! (And Butter Too!)

Move over charcuterie board; butter boards are the latest trend! Butter boards are super easy to make, less expensive than cured meats and cheeses, perfect for appetizers or large gatherings, and absolutely delicious!

Making the perfect butter board takes minutes, so I also show you how to make butter at home! Making butter is also really easy, so don't be afraid to give it a go yourself! Plus the leftover buttermilk keeps well in your freezer and is great for making scones, pancakes or pound cake!

If you don't like butter, these toppings would go great with goats cheese!

INGREDIENTS

100g butter**
1/2 fig
1 tsp. sumac
1 tbsp. chopped walnuts
1 tbsp. runny honey
2 tsp. salt
handful of edible flowers
a few sprigs of lemon thyme
a baguette or rye bread, to serve

This butter bread recipe serves 3-4 people.

**If you want to make your own butter, you'll need 600ml double cream (heavy cream). This will make approximately 300g butter and 250ml buttermilk!
