5 Wood Burning Stove Mistakes You’re Probably Making

This is our first winter living off the grid and we are choosing to heat our enclosed RV area (where we are living while we build a house) with a wood burning stove. We purchased a barrel stove off of Craigslist for $200, hooked it up, and have been using it for over two months now.

Although we got off to a rocky start with our wood stove (part of that had to do with our firewood), we've learned a lot in the past two months on how to optimize the burning for cleanliness and efficiency. We've gone from burning three boxes of wood a day to just one. We thought we would share out tips and tricks to getting a clean burn, packed full of heat.
