This patient wanted to have me use the femtosecond laser to assist in her cataract surgery. At our surgery center in Beverly Hills, California we have three different femtosecond lasers so we have our choice of lasers.

Does it make a difference? Is it a better surgery? For most patients, the answer is no -- as long as you are in the care of a truly expert cataract surgeon. The femtosecond laser WILL improve the skills of a novice cataract surgeon or a surgeon who is no as adept at cataract surgery.
