New Beginnings 01.24.2021

As we welcome a new administration and new leaders in Washington, we will pray for new light and new possibilities. Our Minister, Rev. Anne Mason and church leaders will share their thoughts and their hopes as we welcome a new moment in our nation’s history.

MUSIC: Our alto soloist Julia Jaffe will sing Paul Halley’s inspiring gospel song “Sound over all Waters” (from Paul Winter’s Solstice Live) and UU abolitionist Julia Ward Howe’s powerful “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” For the centering music, Rip Jackson will play Frédéric Chopin’s hauntingly beautiful piano piece “Prelude in Db ‘Raindrop’ Op. 28, No. 15.” And for the postlude, he will play Johan Sebastian Bach's energetic “Prelude in c minor, BWV 999.”
