Good morning everyone! Hello and a warm welcome to our coverage of the fifth and final day's play of the first Test match of this 3-match Test series featuring the hosts Pakistan against the visitors England from the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

It's time for tea☕ Day-5! Pakistan has posted 2️⃣5️⃣7️⃣ runs for the loss of 5️⃣ wickets in 77 overs. In the 25 overs that were bowled in total during this session Pakistan scored 88 runs while losing 2 wickets. Pakistan needs 86 more runs to win this game whereas on the other side England needs 5 more wickets to win this game.

Stokes gathers his players into a huddle before they go off the field. They came very close on a couple of occasions just before the break to getting the breakthrough. But the pair of Salman and Azhar has survived. Their partnership is now worth 59 having come together during a phase when England were using the reverse-swing to good effect.

It was the first time in this Test that the bowlers had the ball moving around sideways consistently and Anderson Robinson and Stokes were on it with Stokes even bowling unchanged for 11 overs. Pakistan have waded through that phase though and are 86 away from the target. 5.15pm local is when the light is usually too dark. These two teams will have around 90 minutes of play to take 5 wickets or score the remaining runs. Who will it be?

A session of two halves really. Before drinks Pakistan scored just 13 runs in 14 overs with England all over them. Anderson and Robinson started proceedings this morning and kept the pressure on while also removing Imam-ul-Haq early. But the picture completely changed when spin was introduced. Rizwan who took 24 deliveries to get off the mark suddenly took the attack to Jacks and Leach while Shakeel looked at ease against them as well.

They both have used their feet very well to hit them down the ground while occasionally playing the sweep as well. 86 runs for Pakistan in that session for the loss of just one wicket and they'll take it. It keeps them on course for the target which is 174 away now. England have been very inventive right through the Test. But will their efforts be eventually thwarted by the pitch which continues to just offer nothing at all?

An enthralling session and all results (including the draw) remain on the table. Pakistan added 89 for the loss of one wicket which is pretty much the perfect tempo if they are going to get to their target of 343. Saud Shakeel has looked as dependable as government bonds with Mohammad Rizwan attacking judiciously whenever the opportunity presents itself. In particular they have not allowed England's spinners to settle. The pitch continues to play well and we are going the journey today.

Well it's up for grabs now. Pakistan's sixth-wicket pair (with Azhar Ali available to return as and when) have overcome a sticky first hour to take the attack to England's spinners and arguably inch themselves into the box seat in this final-day race for the line. Even so they are barely halfway to a stiff target and with a lengthy tail there's still plenty scope for some jitters in the end-game.

The key for England you suspect will be their seam attack. Anderson and Robinson were magnificent this morning but they will have to be used sparingly - maybe Ben Stokes himself to break his own emergency glass and enter the attack for the first time in this innings day?
