This video is a mini documentary on The Weeknd's transition to his new identity, rumored to be going by his birth name 'Abel Tesfaye' after (or during the release of) his upcoming album. It's most likely not going to be called 'After Life', although that might be the name of a song on the album. However, it is confirmed that the next album will be the last chapter of the current trilogy, which as of writing, consists of After Hours and Dawn FM.
In this video I aim to give an in-depth explanation on the story Abel tries to tell through his cinematography, as seen in his music video clips like 'Sacrifice' and 'How Do I Make You Love Me?'. It's all part of a full storyline! Hopefully this will clarify why the name change, rebirth or rebranding (whatever you prefer) is actually a genius move by Abel.
