At ASL, we are a big family where employees are treated with utmost care and attention. Various family-friendly measures are established to provide support for our staff.

CONSTRUCTING A FAMILY-FRIENDLY CORPORATION

We understand that families encounter daily challenges. To ease scheduling conflicts, ASL flexibly processes special work arrangements, e.g. via temporary changes of working hours, short-term changes of full-time to part-time employment, or fixed leave patterns for a period of time.

For unexpected situations like children / parents’ medical appointments or school meetings, ASL adopts Family Leave for employees who are unable to report for duty. If less than two working hours are involved, no deduction in leave or salary would be incurred.

We are proud of our office nursing room which supports our breastfeeding mothers. For newborns, we deliver corporate blessings through congratulatory red packets.

PROMOTING EMPLOYEE WORK-LIFE BALANCE

ASL values employees’ quality of life and provides additional marriage leave and compassionate leave.

As employees prefer to spend time with families during special holidays, ASL arranges Early Office Close for Festival Celebration. Our office closes after lunch for 中秋節, 冬至 and 年三十晚, and employees may leave work earlier for Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

We wish our employees and families a healthy life via:

2. Group life and permanent disability insurance worth of 24 monthly salary

3. Prolonged illness leave of 6 months full-pay followed by another 6 months half-paid

4. Compulsory immediate time off after working overtime past midnight

With our family-friendly policies, more than 30% of employees have stayed with ASL for more than 5 years with some loyal workers celebrating their 30 years of service. We welcomed almost 100 toddlers as our ASL family with total “Lai See” amount of $500,000. Since 2016, 80% of mothers utilized our nursing room with monthly usage of 70 hours. We supported employees through difficult times with 200 compassionate days and celebrated 100 marriage leave days.
