So you’ve created a playlist containing a series of videos but you don’t want to share it with the public. You only want to share it with your family or friends. The good news is that YouTube provides different privacy settings for sharing YouTube playlists.

Here are the steps to share a private playlist on YouTube...
Click on your profile icon
Click creator studio
Click video manager
Drop down
Click playlists
Select the playlist that you wish to edit
Click edit
Click playlist settings
Select basic
Here you’ve got playlist privacy
Public means everybody will be able to see it
Unlisted means only those people that you wish to share the link with will see it but it won’t be in the search engines
Private means you just be able to see it yourself but nobody else will be able to see it

I recommend setting it to unlisted if you want to share it with your friends or family members. You can also reorder the videos in your playlist according to the most popular or the date that it’s added or published.

Here’s a summary of the playlist privacy settings on YouTube:
* If you set your playlist to public you can share the URL, it can be added to a channel section, it will show up in search and related videos and it can be posted on your channel upon creation.

*If you set it to private the URL cannot be shared, you can’t add it to a channel section, it won’t show up in search and related videos and you can’t post it to your channel upon creation.

*With unlisted which I recommend you can share the URL with your friends or family, it can be added to your channel section, it won’t show up in the search engines or related videos and it can’t be posted in your channel upon creation.
