But: taking others' choreographies, using them as your own, is not a way of appreciation and has nothing to do with inspiration, this is plagiarism!
It has happened now for the third time, that someone took my choreography in its entirety or in parts, using it for commercial intention, in one case even without mentioning my name and that is not okay!
When we publish our work, it's not an invitation to take and use it for free.
I've been working as a fulltime dance teacher, choreographer and dancer for 11 years now - creating choreographies, teaching them, working with videographers, organising video shoots, preparing costumes, designing stage pieces etc. - these projects are no 'just for fun', they require a lot of work, time and in some parts high financial investment.
So if you like my work, or pieces of other artists, communicate with us - pay for our creations, invite us as teachers for yourself or your group or ask us for a cooperation, there are different ways of a respectful collaboration - but stop simply taking the products of or creativity and selling it as you own!
