Visiting Fushimi Inari Kyoto was easily one of the highlights of our Kyoto trip. The Fushimi Shrine is just one train stop away from downtown Kyoto, also referred to as, Gion Kyoto Japan, and is easy to get to from Kyoto station. We arrived just because we were curious, and our son took us up the mountain. Well worth the hype! If you're spending 4 days in Kyoto, I would be sure to include this in your itinerary.
