Invertible Counterpoint

Описание к видео Invertible Counterpoint

Learn about Invertible Counterpoint and its applications in Contrapuntal Forms of music. Additionally, this knowledge can be applied to other song forms as well. In this video you will learn about how to compose a melody that you can invert at the 8ve, 10th and 12th. This will enable you to compose Imitative Forms of Counterpoint such as the Canon and the Fuge. When inverting one might transpose that melody into a different key, accomplishing this by transposing everything down an exact Quality of Interval. Such as a minor 3rd or a Perfect 5th. This is discussed near the end (12th section) and will shed some light on how to write a melody that can shift below the same given melody and also change keys.
I want to thank Jacob Gran (YouTube Channel) for providing most of the information found in this video. I try my best to not only replicate everything found in his video but also further elaborate and explain on the material he offers.
