Largest Gold Mines Found In Jamui District Of Bihar | Capital TV

Union Minister of Mines, Coal and Parliamentary Affairs Prahlad Joshi told Parliament through a letter that the country has a total primary gold ores reserves of 501.83 tonnes, of which 654.74 tonnes is gold. Of this, 44 percent of gold has been found only in Bihar. In the Sono area of the Jamui district of the state, 222.885 million tonnes of gold metal reserves including 37.6 tonnes of metal ores have been found.
