February 2, 2021: A Note from filmmaker Tracy Schott, founder, http://www.Voices4Change and host, http://www.Voices4ChangeRadio.com on the Inkandescent Radio Network — Today on the Voices4Change Radio Show, I am thrilled to have interviewed Pooja Monga, a Delhi, India-based entrepreneur who prides herself on being a catalyst of creating positive change.

“Through the art and science of data visualization, I help create compelling stories that influence positive shifts in the world,” explains the woman who is leading several digital transformational initiatives associated with gender equality. “I am an engineer by degree but an activist by heart.”

After completing her bachelor’s degree in Technology, Pooja pursued a degree in executive leadership from the Centre of Social Impact Strategy, University of Pennsylvania.
Today, her company — 1GEN — is a social innovation startup committed to making Global Goals a reality by 2030.

Tracy explains: “It’s an honor to work with a woman who is so passionate and focused, which is why Voices4Change has partnered with 1GEN to raise the voice of Voices4Change so that it reaches an international audience. I know that with Pooja’s help, my mission of ending domestic violence will become a reality.”

Pooja shares: “We create meaningful digital solutions for the most pressing issues facing the world, such as climate change emergency, poverty, hunger, lack of access to basic healthcare & education, forced displacement of masses, and more. But there is an even biggest obstacle: hopelessness. We are working in every way imaginable to bring back hope.”

Indeed! That’s why she and her colleagues founded 1GEN in 2018 with a simple concept of using digital tools to shape meaningful impact stories that connect, bind, engage, and most importantly, inspire.

“We inspire action for change, amplify the marginalized voices, and knit a community of minds to bring about a positive shift in the world,” explains Pooja, whose organization works with dozens of mission-driven NGOs and social enterprises. “We strive to create and share stories of hope that drive social change, every day. We understand, achieving SDGs by 2030 is a long journey. Our purpose is to be the digital enabler in solving the planet’s most pressing issues in 1GENeration.”
