This is a lovely recording from a 'provincial' band - Tommy Kinsman was resident at the Winter Gardens in Weston-super-Mare at the start of his career in 1928 when this record was made. Despite being a provincial outfit Kinsman delivers a lovely modernistic 16 bar tenor solo! The Winter Gardens still exists, and is today run by Weston College as a learning and events space.
