CataractCoach 1088: recent residency graduate cataract surgery

Описание к видео CataractCoach 1088: recent residency graduate cataract surgery

This video was submitted by an ophthalmologist who recently graduated from residency training. He has about 350 phaco cases of experience and he tackling a tough case of a white cataract. This young surgeon is talented and there are many good parts of this surgery. I particularly enjoyed watching the creation of the capsulorhexis with just the 27g cystotome via the paracentesis incision. This is a technique that can be very useful and all resident surgeons should learn it. There are also some very important learning points that will help improve the surgery, and one of those is appropriate draping and patient positioning. With these issues address, I am confident that this surgeon will become a true expert in the future.
