Sky News Political Reporter Jonathan Lea says Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has “wasted” 24 hours of campaigning only days out from the election.

Mr Albanese flew out of Western Australia from Perth yesterday afternoon and didn’t front the National Press Club until after 12:30pm.

“Obviously, it’s part of the Labor leader’s strategy at the moment,” Mr Lea told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“Ether he thinks he doesn’t need to campaign or he’s better not campaigning - only the Labor luminaries will know that.”

Mr Lea gave “credit” to Mr Albanese for being the only leader to front the National Press Club during the campaign.
