Описание к видео Life in the 30s - The Great Depression - Overproduction Crisis

This film examines life after the roaring 1920s and into the devastating decade of the 30s. President Herbert Hoover, unable to deal with the great depression and the overproduction crisis, is replaced by Franklin D. Roosevelt who puts in action a new program - the New Deal - which promises to end poverty and unemployment.
Meanwhile, demagogues, such as senator Huey Long, command wide networks of supporters and are willing to take forceful action....
The film ends with FDR's reelection with a landslide in 1936 with the greatest political sweep in history.
