EXPLANATION (these are my headcanons):
-If you are stuck in limbo and can't go into the afterlife, once everybody forgets you, your basically die a second time (what almost happened to Ghostbur)
-Mumza is the Goddess of Death, but specifically reigns over the afterlife. Limbo is beyond her powers.
-Mumza noticed that whenever somebody died on the DreamSMP, instead of coming to her, they'd get stuck in Limbo or be alive again.
-When Wilbur first died, she tried looking for him, but was unable to find him. That's why it took her so long to get to Ghostbur.
-The afterlife she enters is her home/reign, but where dead ones normally go to is idealized/perfect version of their own world.
-Each star in the afterlife is a different afterlife where different souls live in and she looks after them.
-After she brings Ghostbur back, Mumza, Ghostbur and Friend go around looking for and helping those stuck in Limbo to bring them home.
