New Log Cabin Tour | Bald Eagles on the Ranch | Saying Goodbye to a Lamb | Picnic

Описание к видео New Log Cabin Tour | Bald Eagles on the Ranch | Saying Goodbye to a Lamb | Picnic

We have been working on this pine log cabin build for about 5 months and in this video we are excited to show you how the project came together. The log cabin will be used as a gathering space for the fellas. We will be saying goodbye to one of our beloved bottle baby lambs, Charcoal, as he goes on to his next farm to become their flock sire. With spring lambing season, we slowly introduce our lambs to grass pasture as they become large enough to avoid becoming a meal for all of the predators, including large Bald Eagles that live and hunt here. We are cautious during lambing season and only let the sheep out into open pasture when they are large enough to survive along side our livestock guardian dogs that protect them. Thank you for joining us this week as our family enjoys the beginning of spring weather up here in rugged North Idaho.

About Us: Thanks for joining us and our four homeschooled children behind the scenes as we run our ranch together and enjoy traditional mountain living. We raise Scottish Highland cattle, Katahdin sheep, Berkshire pigs, barnyard chickens on 100 acres in beautiful scenic Idaho. We are a Christian family that drinks raw milk, raises our own meat, works with our hands, and hunt and fish together to help fill our freezer.

This channel won't be flashy or exciting. We love the beauty of old fashioned slow living as a family. From here on out we plan on posting content from our daily lives around the ranch as we cook and eat together, learn together, build from scratch, steward the land, and tend to livestock as a family. We also make and consume a lot of sourdough bread. :)
