Sky News host Peta Credlin says it’s “never smart to get on your moral high horse” as the Greens have found out today.

Ms Credlin’s remarks come after the Greens Party accepted a donation from a pastoral company backed by one of South Africa’s richest men despite claiming they don’t take money from big corporations or billionaires.

“Senator Sarah Hanson-Young subsequently went on to accuse a gas company, in a Senate committee hearing, of ‘trying to threaten and intimidate’ the very business that had just made one of those donations,” Ms Credlin said.

Senator Hanson-Young said she was unaware of the donations when she questioned Tamboran Resources Managing Director Joel Riddle about the issue.

“Really? But how is then that the Greens can claim big donors have far too much influences over other parties but supposedly have none whatsoever over them? Sounds like a massive double standard to me and a fair dollop of hypocrisy.”
