Bengal Polls 2021: Fierce Faceoff Between PM Modi & Mamata Banerjee Ahead Of Assembly Elections

PM Modi today took stage at Brigade Parade grounds, greeted with chants of Jai Shri Ram. Mithun Chakraborty who joined BJP ahead of PM Modi's address welcomed PM Modi on stage.
PM Modi said, “The historic Brigade Parade Grounds have been witness to several chapters of history. But it has also been witness to the rallies of those who destroyed Bengal, tortured the people and exploited them. Today, people have come to seek answers.”
On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee and women leaders of Trinamool Congress are holding a protest rally in Siliguri against fuel price hike. TMC MP Mimi Chakraborty said, "Only Mamata will stand beside the common people. Yes, now the people will need to sell their kidneys and blood to become atma nirbhar. The BJP only plays divisive politics. It creates a divide between castes and in the name of religion."
