The biography examines Meghan Markle’s complex early family life and the work she put in to establish herself as a successful actress. Bower says that after looking at the Duchess of Sussex’s past, and speaking to ex-friends and colleague, the picture that emerged of Meghan was one of a ‘schemer’. Yes, her drive and ambition had propelled her to success and fortune, but it came at the expense of many personal relationships. It was this side to her character that made people worry about the future of her marriage to Harry.
