Identity, Romanticism and Fluidity | Harris Reed | Fashion in Motion | V&A

Описание к видео Identity, Romanticism and Fluidity | Harris Reed | Fashion in Motion | V&A

Fashion in Motion is a series of live fashion shows at the V&A featuring leading fashion designers from across the world.

Since graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2020, Harris Reed has showcased collections at the first ever gender-neutral London Fashion Week, and was awarded 'Breakthrough Designer' in GQ's annual 'Men of the Year' awards in 2021. He frequently collaborates with Harry Styles – notably dressing him for American Vogue. Reed's designs have also been worn by Adele, Olly Alexander and supermodel Iman for the 2021 Met Gala.

Placing identity at the forefront, Reed’s fluid designs break the mould and encourage people to look at fashion from a different perspective. Watch as he showcases highlights from his flamboyant collections, inspired by Romanticism, the ruffles of the 16th century, as well as contemporary social and political issues. Here he tells us about his creative process, how he designs for gender-fluid people, the transformative power of clothing, and the role fashion plays in making the world a more expressive and accepting place.
