49HR FILM CHALLENGE TEAM: U, GENRE: Comedy, Presented by Hutchinson Art Center and Stage 9

"JULIET VS JULIUS"
The Hutchinson Art Center and Stage 9 have collaborated on a 49 Hr. Film Challenge. The task for this challenge was to write, direct, film, score and edit a 5-minute film in 49 hours. Each film must include these Five elements:
1. Shakespeare line: "I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but I see you are unarmed!"
2. Prop: Toilet Paper (must be used creatively and not what it is actually for!).
3. Location: Bathtub/shower- Must be a shot using one of these locations
4. Must include one of the following artists' work in at least one scene: Andy Warhol or Frida Kahlo.
5. Genre: when they sign-up, we will give them their genre from the following: drama, musical, comedy,
thriller, action, western, scary, mystery, rom-com. Each Genre will be listed in the title credits.
There are two award categories.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Audience Choice Awards will be held via Youtube! DO NOT post your film until they are premiered on the Hutchinson Art Center Youtube Page. In no particular order, they will be posted Monday, April 20 at 7 pm. VOTES MUST BE PLACED BY LIKING THE VIDEO ON YOUTUBE! THIS IS ALL ABOUT HOW MANY THUMBS UP YOU CAN GET! Thumbs down don't even matter. After we post the videos, encourage people to vote!! Voting ends Tuesday, April 21 at 7 pm!!!

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Judge' Choice Awards will be based on our judge's scorecards. We understand most people will be filming with phones, so we will take that into account when it comes to cinematography, editing, sound & scoring.
Winners of the 49HR Film Challenge will be announced at 8pm Tuesday, April 21 st at 8pm!!!
