Since the publication of that book, Fons has become a professor in Cross-Cultural Management at the University of Amsterdam and has been consistently ranked into the Thinkers50 Hall of Fame, a global ranking of management thinkers.

His latest book is the Covid-19 Survival Guide: Dilemmas and Solutions, which is a research-based approach on how different countries responded to Covid.
