Biden doesn’t have the ‘capabilities’ to take on Putin

Fox News contributor Kayleigh McEnany says she doubts US President Joe Biden has the capabilities needed to take on Russia President Vladimir Putin.

“Putin is notorious for knowing how to push buttons and change things,” Ms McEnany told Outnumbered.

“You have to be equipped, you have to be on your feet, you have to know the games that Putin will inevitably play and I am not certain any of those words describe the current president and his capabilities on the world stage.

“I want the best for our country, I hope he’s tough, I hope he takes firm action, and I hope Putin walks away understanding.

“I don’t know if they will understand that because we all see Biden’s capabilities.”

The comments come after Joe Biden held a two hour virtual meeting with the Russian president.

The leaders discussed the two countries' relationship, concerns regarding Russia’s military presence at the Ukraine border as well as cyber and regional issues.

National Security adviser Jake Sullivan maintained the president was “direct” and “straightforward” when dealing with his Russian counterpart.

Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin held talks together in June at the Geneva summit.

After the meeting the two shook hands for the media but decided to hold separate press conferences.

Former secretary of state Mike Pompeo at the time said that decision showed “enormous weakness” from Joe Biden.
