Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Return To Hogwarts | Behind The Scenes

Twenty years after the first movie came out, a huge number of the cast and crew from over the years returned to reminisce and make even more magic for us to watch on screen. What went into the making of the special? Where did all the magic take place? And how on earth did the cast feel reuniting in the place it all started two decades ago?! Exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from filming and on-set interviews reveal what it was like for actors to experience the magic of Hogwarts once more.
Were there tears? You bet there were - getting to see the real sets and their former castmates - many of whom hadn’t seen each other for years - was an emotional roller coaster, to say the least. Strange as it was though, everyone fell into old habits pretty quickly - one actor even falling into performance so easily that it felt as though no time had passed.
For the actors who were adults when they began filming, the experience of seeing the youngsters they took under their wings and cared for as if they were their children as adults was a moving experience - cue all the feels! While everyone was there to get a job done and film the special, the actors were catching moments wherever they could with their former co-stars, reconnecting. And making even more memories.
While they were back at the same studio, the place looked entirely different - except for the sets. On the filming day, there was no shortage of choreo- from the actual dancers in the great hall to the film crew that dodged around among them to capture all the action!
Overall, the special brings us even more heartwarming moments and a chance to reminisce on the incredible Harry Potter legacy. We’re team Potter for life.
