Decomposed body found in Florida backyard

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a heavily decomposed body was found in the backyard of a home. Neighbors reported smelling a foul odor for days before deputies arrived Saturday night. A death investigation is now underway to determine the identity of an adult female. Her body was found in the backyard of a home near Richwood Lane and Embassy Boulevard.

Neighbors told FOX 13 they could smell a foul odor in the air for days. Some called deputies earlier in the week but said authorities didn't show up until late Saturday.
