Also known as the 'Maori Farewell', Now Is The Hour was adopted by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the early 20th century. It was made popular in the 40's and was performed often by many of our people living on the missions, reserves and native settlements. The lyrics resinated with many family members who were displaced and removed. Performed by Jessie Lloyd.
