Փշալարից այս կողմ․ Հայաստան-Իրան | The Other Side of the Barbed Wire: Armenia and Iran

Տասնամյակներ փշալարերով ձգվող հայ-իրանական սահմանը Երկաթե վարագույրի ու Սառը պատերազմի հարավային մի հատվածն էր։ Փշալարը և Արաքս գետը միմյանցից բաժանում էին Խորհրդային Միությունը և Իրանը։ Թեև 1991-ին Խորհրդային Միությունը մոլորակի քարտեզից վերացել է, սակայն ավելի քան քառորդ դար անց փշալարը հիշեցնում է Սառը պատերազմը։

For decades, the barbed wire-clad border between Iran and Armenia ran along the southern section of the Cold War’s Iron Curtain. Even though the Soviet Union vanished from the world map in 1991, more than a quarter of a century later, the barbed wire stands as a reminder of the Cold War.
