The film was tentatively titled as BB3. In April 2021, the film's official title was unveiled as Akhanda.
A major portion of filming was completed by May 2021.

Release
The film is now confirmed to be released in theaters on 2 December 2021.

The music is composed by S. Thaman. The first single track, Adiga Adiga was released on 18 September 2021. The music released on Lahari Music Company.
