Iceland Volcano Eruption Update; Increasingly Tall Lava Fountains, Main Cone Grows

Описание к видео Iceland Volcano Eruption Update; Increasingly Tall Lava Fountains, Main Cone Grows

A new volcanic eruption began in Iceland, and has been outputting a high rate of lava which has formed a large spatter cone in only slightly over a week. This has generated increasing tall lava fountains, which on occasion have surpassed a height of 100 meters or 328 feet. Despite a decreased overall lava effusion rate, the eruption is still going strong, creating a series of unusual volcanic features. This video will discuss the last several days of the Meradalir volcanic eruption, which is ongoing north of the Geldingadalir volcano adjacent to the Fagradalsfjall tuya.
