TRUE ME I am a junior at South Brunswick High School. My website is TRUE ME. Our goal is to help teenagers recognize stress and understand the impact of it so they comprehend the negative effect that stress can have on one’s life. We will provide a platform that is safe and protected so they can discuss their issues and form friendships. These teenagers will be able to meet every week to talk, creating an online support system. This will decrease the feeling of loneliness in teenagers, leading to reduced depression rates. Exchanging ideas will let adolescents see things from a different point of view and will help expand their understanding of the world allowing them to form their own identities and begin to fight for their own future. My goal is to major in cognitive science in college. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
