US Rolls Out 5G Amid Aviation Standoff: Why Air India, Emirates Are Rejigging, Cancelling Flights

Deployment of the 5G communications in the United States has disrupted flight operations across the world. Major international airlines including Air India and Emirates are rejigging or cancelling flights to the US amid 5G rollout. Boeing has issued an advisory, alerting that 5G signals may interfere with the radio altimeter on the 777. Air India has announced to curtail flight operations to the US starting from January 19. Air India serves 4 US destinations with Boeing 777s has said it would curtail or change aircraft types.
