Former television presenter Andrew O'Keefe will spend tonight in a police cell, accused of a shocking attack on a woman at an apartment on Sydney’s Kent Street.

The once-domestic violence campaigner is now charged with choking, punching and kicking his victim.

Today he was heard by reporters, out of control and in the back of a police wagon. He was erratic, enraged, kicking and banging.
