Co-chair of the Covid-19 task force and Trade and Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong said that discussions with Malaysia are progressing well, and the land border between Singapore and Malaysia could reopen in a few weeks' time under a "Vaccinated Travel Lane-like arrangement".

In other announcements, Singapore will start new vaccinated travel lanes with Indonesia and India from Nov 29, and with Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia from Dec 6.

Groups of up to five from the same household can dine in at hawker centres and coffee shops from end-Nov.
