Aryan Khan Case: Key NCB witness Kiran Gosavi nabbed. Why his testimony is crucial

Kiran Gosavi, the NCB witness in Mumbai drugs-on-cruise case, has now been arrested in Pune. Police Commissioner of Pune Amitabh Gupta said Gosavi has been detained in connection with a 2018 cheating case. Gosavi, whose photos & videos with Aryan Khan went viral on social media, had been absconding. Photos of Gosavi, said to be a 'private investigator', went viral after NCB's raid on the cruise ship. Another witness Prabhakar Sail alleged that Gosavi took a huge sum of money from someone after the ship raid. Gosavi, however, denied the allegations & said he would surrender before Lucknow police. Gosavi was apparently present during the cruise ship raid & was also seen at NCB office. Gosavi has been called an 'independent witness' by NCB, which is probing the drugs case. Pune police had earlier arrested Gosavi's assistant Sherbano Kureshi in the cheating case. The case was filed by Chinmay Deshmukh who had alleged that Gosavi cheated him of Rs 3.09 lakh. As per Deshmukh, he was cheated under the pretext of giving a job in Malaysia's hotel industry. Kureshi had received the money in her account, and a case was lodged at Faraskhana police station. A lookout circular was also issued by police to prevent Gosavi from leaving the country.
