An insider’s overview of what happens when a show or film is put through to development, what goes into building a development budget, This session will outline what development is and why it is important, demystifying common development terms and agreements, and what emerging producers and creators need to consider if their project is in development including financing, and repayment obligations.

The goal of the series was to introduce new and emerging independent producers and content creators from traditionally underrepresented groups in the industry (women, persons with a disability, Black, Indigenous, People of Colour and LGBTQ2+) to topics related to the business and financing of TV, film and original digital content.
