The United States said it will review its ties with Pakistan in view of its role in Afghanistan over the last 20 years. Pakistan is one of the countries that the U.S. has designated Major Non-Nato Ally (MNNA). Blinken responded to questions by lawmakers who called Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan ’duplicitous’. Antony Binken said that Pakistan has harboured Taliban members & Haqqani terrorists. He made the remarks in his first testimony before the Congress since the Taliban took over Kabul.
