Iran’s president, Hassan Rouhani, has blamed Israel for the killing of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh and warned the country would retaliate.

Fakhrizadeh was ambushed and killed by gunmen in the town of Absard, Tehran.

The 63-year-old was Iran's most renowned nuclear scientist.

Israel have not immediately commented on the allegations made by Iran.
